From November 2 to 6, 2025, a particularly enriching educational trip took place in Kalavryta, with the participation of six guests from Germany. The main goal of the visit was to explore the production process of Greek feta PDO cheese.
During their stay, the participants visited the feta production unit and the maintenance facilities of the Agricultural Cooperative of Kalavryta, which is the beneficiary of the program. There, they observed in detail every step of milk processing and the creation of the final product.
They then toured local farms, learning about goat and sheep breeding, grazing conditions, and the importance of the regional microclimate for the cheese’s quality.
The trip concluded at a traditional restaurant, where the guests had the opportunity to taste authentic Greek dishes based on feta PDO. The experience left an excellent impression and further strengthened cooperation between the two countries.
